I was reading a newspaper article about online blogs and how they can destroy journalism as we know it or it could revolutionize it.
Yesterday was terrible because I drove to ocean city with a carload of PA equiptment for a downcaste show only to arrive and realize I don't know where am I going... oh check this out i figured it out last week even though it sounds so obvious mix your tracks with the bassdrum louder than appropriate, then during postmix use a multiband compressor to squeeze the low end together. it'll give the low end a nice pumping punchy kick if you use appropriate attack and release times. be sure to set the threshold of the compressor higher than the bass, but lower than the bass drum.
