Mind Games: part 4

I figured this out in work today:

Look in any direction and focus on an object.

Look at the object and focus on your self looking at the object

Look at yourself looking at the object and focus on the mind's eye

look at the mind's eye and you'll kinda "pop out" of your head - perceptually - (you'll know you've achieved this when there appears to be a "ring" around the border of the image displayed in your brain.

now that you've popped out, focus on the SPACE BETWEEN your eyes and the object you were originally looking at

start thinking about how even though you can't see anything, it's not really SPACE

so instead of looking through the air, look at the air itself

now watch it bend.

Progress

I gave Ryan four cds and told him to choose a song - I also gave him instructions and four versions of "cat noises" - then we smoked ten joints at once - kevin bought a huge amount of weak shit for $20 - it was a blast - we have pictures. All i got was a headache.

after work tommorow i'm going to check out a Broken Values practice (they will start recording soon)

then there's standmedown practice

then there's a party - if you don't know about it then maybe you should ask around and find out about it, cause i'm not gonna be responsible for letting the whole internet know.

This is a list of the current lineup and their roles, primary and secondary.

During the next few weeks I will be meeting with each member individually. You are to choose one song each, then we will all learn them.

Then I will choose a song to round out the set.

Ego Loss

I am beginning to understand the difference between having a conversation and talking about myself.

Also, I had a brief experience of true clarity - the abscense of complexes - as they came back I was able to define them and write it down.

you will never know until someone tells you, or if you are lucky enough to be without them for a few minutes.

I have spent the last three years learning about myself and its many parts - now I intend to put this information to use.

Last night my child and my parent came to a compromise - well not really a compromise it's more like telling the kid to shut the fuck up when he's about to make me go off track.

That said, I'm going to get off the computer and do real stuff

We had a show at the Rusty Nail last night, and today chris had already posted a review of us on the website:

STAND ME DOWN - A SUPER TALENTED MELODIC HARD METAL ROCK BAND. THERE IS SO MUCH TALENT AND ENERGY THAT EMITS FROM THIS BAND . A LIVE PERFORMANCE IS POWERFUL....THE BASS PLAYER MIGHT OF HAD A CORONARY BY THE END OF THE SET. A VERY TIGHT BAND ....EXTREMELY TIGHT. ONE CRITIQUE , VOCALS COULD NOT BE HEARD , IT IS THAT TYPE OF MUSIC ....HARD GRINDING , BUT BASICALLY ALL THREE VOCALISTS WERE MUZZLED BY THE HARD DRIVING MUSIC. OVERALL , I LIKED THE BAND.

i go outside and begin to flee - a dog starts to chase me
i jump on the rope in my backyard and start to climb
i haven't done it in a while so it was very hard and i was very slow

nevertheless some dorky looking kid is telling me how fast i am
i reach the top - barely - and just hang on
he stands at the bottom and begins to criticise my rope
wow man your rope is all yellow and old from the cigarette smoke
